Q1 2024 Performance of Top Carpooling Apps on iOS in Latin America

As the first quarter of 2024 comes to a close, Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of top carpooling and ridesharing applications on the iOS platform in Latin America. Here's a snapshot of how these apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Uber - Request a ride saw a fluctuation in downloads starting from 190K in the first week to a dip at 157K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a more positive trend, increasing from 3.7M to over 4M in the same period.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a similar pattern with downloads beginning at 104K and witnessing a slight decrease to 81K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users ranged from 1.3M to 1.36M, ending slightly lower than its peak during the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides downloads started at 76K and saw an upward trend, peaking at 81K, before closing the quarter at 70K. Weekly active users initially stood at 1.57M, grew to 1.82M, but saw a slight decline to 1.65M in the final week.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a more modest download count, kicking off at 50K and ending at 36K. The active user base for the app showed resilience, starting at 319K and growing to 334K by the end of March.

Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a steady download rate, hovering around 31K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users showed consistency as well, ranging from 354K to 343K.
